Hu Ge Rumored To Have Reunited With Ex-Girlfriend Xue Jianing After 12 Years

Recently, Hu Ge and Xue Jianing were rumored to have gotten back together after the male actor was spotted attending her musical. Eagle eyed netizens have spotted Hu Ge among the crowd and shared photos of the handsome Shanghainese star in attendance.

The movie in question is known as “The Orphan of Zhao”, and netizens saw Hu Ge recording parts of the show.

There were even rumors that they had been secretly married. Because some netizens encountered that actor Hu Ge went to watch his ex-girlfriend Xue Jianing’s musical “The Orphan of Zhao”.

Xue Jianing performed attentively on stage. Although Hu Ge attempted to be discreet in this outing, wearing a face mask and a hat, he was still identified by netizens because of his good-looking appearence.

From time to time, he was seen recording and taking down the best moments of the musical.

After the musical, Hu Ge and a group of main actors took a group photo, which is also the first time Hu Ge and Xue Jianing being on the same stage together after 12 years of breakup.

In the photo, the actor stood behind Xue Jianing seemingly as friends, as the actress smiled brightly. Yet, rumors about their reconciliation started to ignite.

Hu Ge and Xue Jianing’s Relationship History

Hu Ge and Xue Jianing met in 2004. At that time, Hu Ge went to visit her friend Yuan Hong and met Xue Jianing. They soon fell in love with each other, and she became Hu Ge ‘s girlfriend. They often dated out of the public eye as much as they could and visited each other.

Many ordinary young couples are as sweet, but unfortunate things took an unexpected turn quickly. In 2006, Hu Ge got into a serious car accident on his way from Hengdian to Shanghai. His assistant, Zhang Mian, died while they attempted to rescue him. The male star was seriously injured and he was out of danger only six hours after an intensive effort to revive him. After the accident, he had more than 100 stitches on his face and neck. He underwent two surgeries in four days.

Xue Jianing, who was then filming, immediately flew from Beijing to Shanghai to visit him. When Hu Ge woke up, he saw that his face was covered with scars. At that point of time, he admitted that he felt confused and scared. In order to take care of the actor, Xue Jianing proved to be a loyal girlfriend as she gave up her job just to be by his side. With her careful care and company, the actor managed to get through his hardest days. After going through such a difficult period together, they would ought to have developed an even deeper relationship together. However, this was not to be.

However, just after Hu Ge’s life and career got back on track, the two broke up. The reason for the breakup, was mentioned by Hu Ge in a later interview. During the time he returned after the car accident, he felt particularly unconfident. At that time, Xue Jianing was 30 years old and faced a lot of pressure to get married. Hu Ge felt unable to give her the stable life that she needed. He also mentioned that at that time, no one was right or wrong for choosing to break up. He could only have claimed that he had met the right person at the wrong time.

After the breakup, the two still seem to get along as friends. Later, after Hu Ge’s breakthrough drama, Nirvana In Fire was released, the two’s relationship became a hot topic in the public. In an interview, Xue Jianing said that she felt very happy for him, but refused to talk about her former boyfriend too much. She mentioned that he was now too popular and she would not like to engage in discussions about him, likely for fear that the information may be used against him.

Every time Hu Ge talks about Xue Jianing in an interview, would always remark gratefully, “she is really good.”

The two ultimately called it quits in 2007, only three years after they dated as the two had an age gap that appeared unacceptable to the public. Xue Jianing is 4 years the actor’s senior.

The Actor Is Seemingly Single, For Now

Hu Ge is known to have only two public ex-girlfriends, namely Maggie Jiang Shuying and Xue Jianing. Some netizens harbour the hope for him to reconcile with Xue Jianing, as she is known to be a down-to-earth and low-key actress.

For now, it appears that the actor has attended her musical as a friend as there is no confirmation about it otherwise.
