On December 20, Zheng Shuang sold a series of pre-loved items that she owned on the Chinese second-hand marketplace, Xian Yu. The items that she sold included men’s shoes (size 45), women’s shoes (size 40), suits, skin care products, pyjamas and also a suitcase she used to share with her ex-boyfriend, Zhang Heng.
Netizens speculate that the suitcase that she had put on sale were items from her previous relationship with Zhang Heng, as the suitcase was identical to that used in the variety show “Daughter’s Love”, where she starred in with then manager-boyfriend Zhang Heng.
In addition, Zheng Shuang also sold a copy of a newspaper published in 1949, alongside and a United Nations card. Her decision to sell these items was because she hoped to celebrate the glory of having represented the Youths of China in a UNClimate Change Conference earlier this year.
Zheng Shuang also sold pre-loved clothes that her mother had bought for herself and teased her’s mother taste in clothes. This aroused heated discussions among her young fans, and many of whom could sympathise and commented, “We all seem to live in the same world with the same type of mom who like to buy clothes for us that don’t suit our taste.”
