Tian Guan Ci Fu (Heaven’s Official Blessing) has recently been announced as an upcoming TV drama adaptation. It was confirmed that one of the directors of the Untamed, Chen Jialin would be onboard the Tian Guan Ci Fu production team once again.
However, the identities of the male leads have yet to be disclosed. Recently, netizens noticed that there have been some signs of activity in the Weibo account of the Producer for Tian Guan Ci Fu.
The producer notably followed three male actors – Ding Chengxin, Neo Hou Minghao and Liu Xueyi. This aroused the suspicion of the netizens, as the three ‘random follows’ are speculated to be a ‘confirmation’ that the male leads for the show have been picked. Though there are only two male leads in the drama, namely Hua Cheng and Tai Zi Dian Xia, the fact that the producer has followed three actors does not tally with the rumours.
Nevertheless, the phrase “Tian Guan Ci Fu producer latest followings” trended on Weibo at #9 on the hot search, causing heated discussion among the netizens. One can only imagine how the reception will be like once the drama is out, as even the slightest actions from the production team get a disproportionately massive degree of scrutiny.
Many netizens have however voiced dissent at such speculation, stating that without official confirmation, there is no need to speculate. Others have expressed their dissatisfaction at the ‘selection’ though most need not have to worry since nothing official has been confirmed anyway.
With the overwhelming success of The Untamed, one can only imagine how much fans are anticipating for the release of the upcoming production!
